A full-scale 2-D cross-section of the entire Earth with every major planetary system running live and coupled: mantle convection drives the plates, subducting slabs chill the mantle, ridges record the magnetic field's reversals, eruptions feed the climate's CO₂, ice locks up the sea, erosion ships mountains into oil-bearing shelf mud. Nothing is a looping animation — pause any time and poke it.
Real reference data: interior density, gravity and pressure are the actual PREM model (Dziewonski & Anderson 1981) — its mass integrates to 5.972×10²⁴ kg and its moment-of-inertia factor to 0.3308, matching the measured Earth. Element abundances are CRC/Greenwood crustal & seawater means. Mineral phases follow the experimental olivine → wadsleyite → ringwoodite → bridgmanite → post-perovskite sequence.
Live models (honest caricatures): 2-D Boussinesq mantle convection at infinite Prandtl number on a polar grid;
a 1-D force-balanced plate system (slab pull, ridge push, basal drag) with exact material bookkeeping;
a Budyko–Sellers energy-balance climate with ice-albedo feedback, Milankovitch forcing and the carbonate–silicate thermostat;
an Ornstein–Uhlenbeck stochastic geodynamo tuned to the real reversal record. Each subsystem passes a headless
acceptance suite (run node headless.js, or open ?selftest=1).
What's simplified: the planet is a disk, so "latitude" is arc distance from the poles and the climate's insolation is renormalized for circle geometry; the dynamo is stochastic rather than magnetohydrodynamic; plate motion is 1-D so there are no transform faults; timescales of different systems are each physical but you view them through one adjustable clock.
Deep future included: radiogenic heating decays, the inner core grows until the dynamo dies (~2.5 Gyr), the Sun brightens ~9% per Gyr until the oceans are lost, the Moon recedes 3.8 cm/yr, and the day lengthens.
